After remaining closed since 2022, the pub was sold at auction for £265,000 after Canterbury City Council refused to register it as an Asset of Community Value (ACV).

We believe the buyer, who already runs other pubs out of the area, intends to reopen this historic pub after carrying out refurbishment, but we do not have an opening date as at April 2026.
