Sold to King's School. Change of use from pub to ‘education centre’ plus rear extension and external changes granted despite over 150 objections.

Royal Oak, Upstreet CT3 4DA

The pub closed in early January 2024 and has re-opened as ‘Spitfire Tea Room’. We have not been able to trace a planning consent for change of use.

Tally Ho, 5 Clyde Street, Canterbury CT1 1NA

The pub was closed in 2018 and converted into a house of multiple occupation (HMO), apparently without planning consent. CAMRA Canterbury branch protested to Canterbury City Council but no further action has been taken.

The Mill, 47 Sturry Road, Canterbury CT1 1BV

The pub closed and is now trading as a convenience store. We have not been able to trace a planning consent for change of use.

Two Doves, 25 Nunnery Fields, Canterbury CT1 3JN

After numerous planning applications and appeals, planning permission was granted for change of use of ground floor public house to retail shop with single storey extension and external staircase. Application number CA/25/00107.

As at May 2026 it appears that all of the bar fittings have been removed and alteration works are being carried out.
