The pub/restaurant has been closed since August 2024. Harbledown Parish Council nominated it for an Asset of Community Value (ACV), but this was refused by Canterbury City Council.

We have since learnt that the garden area was sold some time ago.

Planning applications have been submitted by the owners for conversion of the pub to residential, and construction of a new dwelling on the former garden.
