Faversham Social Trail - 26 April 2026

Saturday 25 April 2026

Following the standout success of our last 2 Social Trails to Margate and Rochester, our friends in Thanet branch organised a beer trail around Faversham.

The weather was superb, the market was in full swing, and we explored the vibrant town of Faversham, home to Kent’s biggest Brewer – the renowned Shepherd Neame.

Our itinerary was:

  • 12:00 meet at the Leading Light, Wetherspoons.
  • 13:00 to 13:45 The Sun Inn.
  • 14:00 to 14:45 The Bear Inn.
  • 15:00 to 15:45 The Bank (Time & Tide).
  • 16:00 to 16:45 Furlongs Ale House. From Furlongs there are a couple of optional add-ins: The Leading Light again and/or Creeker’s Tap,
  • 17:00: Closing the trail at a very popular pub: The Elephant.

That left us close to the railway station for trains back to Canterbury and Thanet. It was a great day out!

Although we produce an itinerary and rough timings for the pubs we hope to visit on our pub trails - as much as anything for the benefit of the pubs so they know when we will be descending upon them - our pub trails are very informal and people are free to join or leave at any time.
